lufkindaily – A Lufkin woman claims she saw the ghost of her mother-in-law standing behind her dancing daughter this week.

Dezarae Smith’s 6-year-old daughter, Ivy, and husband, Corey, were on the front porch of their home on Wednesday when a young boy took a picture of the two with his cell phone.

“They were going fishing, and my daughter asked this little boy to take a picture of her while she was dancing,” Smith said. “There were only three people on the porch at the time. I was at work when the picture was taken, but when I saw it, my mouth just dropped. I don’t believe in ghosts, but it made a believer out of me.”

A form stands behind the little girl in the picture, and Smith said you can see the outline of a woman’s face, nose and eyes, as well as a hand.

“I know it’s not Ivy’s shadow,” Smith said. “It’s almost like the figure is facing the person who took the picture and waving ‘Hi.’ Kind of like making itself known. You don’t see that in a shadow.”

Smith’s mother-in-law passed away on July 13, 2007 — three years and one day before the picture was taken. On Tuesday, other relatives had been pressuring the 6-year-old to move forward from memories of her beloved grandmother — a suggestion that upset her.

The young girl and older woman had a very close connection, Smith said, and the two loved to dance together.

“It makes me more sure that it’s Ivy’s grandmother standing behind her, because she asked the boy to take a picture of her dancing,” Smith said. “When she died from a massive heart attack it really affected everyone pretty bad. It was very unexpected and no one knew she was sick or even had heart problems. For the first two years of her life, Ivy would live with her grandmother off and on. They had a very special bond. Even now, Ivy will sit in her room talking to herself and no one knows who she is talking to.”

Neighbors and co-workers agree the form is a ghost, Smith said, but husband Corey was slightly skeptical.

“When I show it to people, they get chills on their necks and arms,” Smith said. “My husband wasn’t sure it was a ghost, but when I pointed out the details, he came to agree it was a ghost.”

If anything, Smith said this experience is helping her family gain peace.

“We think that Ivy’s grandma is still there and protecting her and telling her that everything is going to be fine,” Smith said. “It’s just confirmation that her grandma is watching over her.”

NOTE: Well, as I suspected, this looks like one of the cell phone transparency apps. I’ve been looking for an example all day…but found this one (left) from a British supplier that looks similar to the supposed ‘ghost photo’. If you remember, there was a ‘ghost photo’ taken of a boy’s spectre in front of a building that was razed somewhere in the UK. A transparency app was used for that image…as well as several others that have been printed in many of the tabloids…Lon

To start off I would like to say that my entire life the strange and unusual have always been a part of my life. I have seen, heard and been “hit” by ghosts. (And yes that is very true) However, the most disturbing things have happened after my son was born, hence the title.

The first experience that I had was after we brought my son home from the hospital. He was about 3 months old and just starting to sleep in his own room. We were living in a town house and the only things up stairs were our two rooms and the bathroom and I, my husband and son were the only ones living in the house. We had a baby monitor and were lying down to go to bed when we suddenly heard a loud crash come from our son’s room. We dashed to the room (all of 4 steps from door to door) and when we entered the room his dresser was tipped over, the drawers were pulled out and all his cloths were thrown around his room. It was the first time that I truly got frightened by something like that. I guess because it was now involving my new preemie son. Luckily our son slept through the whole thing. Needless to say he no longer slept in that room.

The next major event, and I say major because he was always looking/playing with someone, was when he was around 13 months old. We were living in an upstairs garage apartment. He has a small room that was “L” shaped. His crib was directly in front of the door. There was just enough room for the door to open. The door also had an old door knob that wouldn’t turn or lock on it. We had lived there for quite a while at this point. One night we had put him to bed and were sitting in the living room watching TV. Suddenly he started crying. I would like to be clear here. If you have children you know they have different cries. This was a bone chilling cry of a toddler that was terrified. We rushed to the door but it wouldn’t budge. My husband was pushing and throwing his body against the door and it was not giving at all. I was beginning to get very upset. Finally my husband ran into the door and broke the door frame. This is where it gets scary. There was a large trundle drawer under his crib. It had been pulled out, turned on its side, and wedged between his crib and the wall and the door knob. I rushed in and grabbed my son. He was staring into the corner and shaking uncontrollably. I looked into the corner and saw a dark shadow and got the chills. I was truly frightened.  From then on his door knob was removed and a shoe string was tied to the side of his crib and through the hole in the door where the knob had been. 

These are just a very few of the experiences that I have had. I truly feel that I attract these kinds of things and my son is following in my footsteps. I just hope that nothing as scary as these two things ever happen to him again.

A BIT MORE INFORMATION

This was witnessed at night over a canola field at East Field, Wiltshire using night vision googles.

Throughout the night we witnessed many unusual sightings of lights – fields lit up with pale blue flashes – streaks of 3 white lights shooting across the sky and then a beam of light appeared over a distant field.

Due to all the activity throughout the night we had hope that a formation had appeared somewhere within the vicinity but as dawn arrived there was nothing to see so we drove through all the possible locations but to our disappointment, we still didn’t see any crop formations.

Canola formations can sometimes be hard to spot from the roadside so we flew across the entire location just to be sure that we haven’t missed one somewhere, but yet still nothing.

On the 4th of May, colleagues still out in the field begun to witness many lights which were quickly joined by military choppers. These sightings continued for over 3 hours – I get the feeling that there is a bit of teasing going on and testing the patience of helicopter pilots. We haven’t a crop formation just yet but other activity has definitely begun.

Back in 2008, a similar beam of light was captured on 8-8-08 after the discovery of the 8 crop circle formation. This beam is almost in the same location as the above footage. Below are ‘crop circle ghosts’ from the previous season and in the same location. New crops are unable to grown in these areas.

NOTE: I’m going to be watching this to see what develops. The ‘crop circle’ season may soon get into full action mode…Lon
